Staffordshire University invites applications for it’s Msc Accounting and Finance Programme.

USPs of the course: Designed to appeal to the graduates of accounting, finance or business management courses, MSc Staffordshire-University-(UK)Accounting and Finance Programme at the UK-based Staffordshire University provides an advanced course of study within a rapidly changing financial environment. The Masters programme, taught at the University’s Business School, explores contemporary approaches and theories in the areas of accounting and finance, both academically and professionally. It is a rigorous programme that develops expertise through independent investigation and creative critical thinking, preparing the students to undertake further research in accounting and finance.

The key modules of the course include Financial Reporting and Analysis, Management Control and Internal Audit, Business Research Methods, Advanced Corporate Finance, Accounting Theory, International Finance and Economic Analysis of the Firm. Moreover, the final semester concludes with an individual research-based dissertation which allows the students to enhance their knowledge by exploring an area of interest which supports their career ambitions. On completion of the MSc Accounting and Finance programme, the students will be able to demonstrate a systematic awareness, understanding and knowledge of contemporary corporate accounting and finance theory, research and professional practice within a global context. Overall, the programme will enhance the employability of graduates and provide an opportunity for career development for those already in work and those on a break from their career.

Course Duration: 1 year

Career Prospects for Course Graduates: The programme will provide a solid basis for further study (i.e. doctoral level) or a career in the broad accounting and finance area like in universities and colleges or careers in industry, commerce and financial services.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates are expected to have a second class honors’ degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Business Management. English language requirements include an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening.

Course Fee: £12,000

Scholarships: New Merit Scholarship of up to £2,000 is available to Indian students enrolling for the first time in September 2016.
