The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, has announced an open call for applications for several of its undergraduate and postgraduate programs for the academic year 2025-26. This includes a range of scholarships for international students, particularly in the Faculty of Science.
Scholarships and Programs:
- Faculty of Science Undergraduate Scholarships: Scholarships worth £5,000 – £7,000 are available to new international students joining an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Science. Subjects include Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics, Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences, Physics, Forensic Science, Biochemistry, Biology & Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Immunology, Microbiology, and Pharmacology1.
- MSc Advanced Immunology: The university is also accepting applications for its MSc Advanced Immunology course starting in September 2025. The course focuses on understanding immune responses and includes comprehensive postgraduate life sciences training with practical laboratory skills2.
Eligibility and Application Details:
- Undergraduate Scholarships: Candidates must be new, international fee-paying students holding an offer of admission for either year one or year two entry to a full-time undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Science. They must have achieved excellent grades and be self-funded1.
- MSc Advanced Immunology: Applicants should have a minimum of a second-class (2:2) honours degree in a biological or chemical discipline or an overseas equivalent. The English language requirement is a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 with no component below 5.52.
Application Deadlines:
- The deadline for undergraduate scholarship applications is July 31, 2025.
- Applications for the MSc Advanced Immunology course should be submitted as soon as possible, with a recommended webinar on January 23, 2025, to provide more details and answer questions.
