Registration for NEET UG 2025 Opens: All You Need to Know

New Delhi, February 9, 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025. Prospective medical students can now submit their applications via the official website, neet.nta.nic.in, with the registration period extending until March 7, 2025.

Essential Details:

  • Exam Date: NEET UG 2025 is set to take place on May 4, 2025, during a single shift from 2 PM to 5 PM.
  • Application Fees:
  • General Category: ₹1,700
  • General-EWS and OBC-NCL: ₹1,600
  • SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender: ₹1,000
  • Candidates outside India: ₹9,500
  • Admit Cards: Issuance of admit cards will begin on May 1, 2025.
  • Exam Structure: The NTA has reverted to the pre-pandemic exam pattern. Candidates will now have to answer 180 mandatory questions—45 each in Physics and Chemistry, and 90 in Biology—within 180 minutes, without optional questions.

  1. Visit the Official Website: Navigate to neet.nta.nic.in.
  2. Complete the Application Form: Fill in the application form with precise personal and academic details.
  3. Upload Required Documents: Attach a recent passport-sized photograph, address proof, scanned signature, and other necessary documents.
  4. Pay the Application Fee: Make the payment through net banking, credit card, debit card, or UPI.
  5. Submit the Application: Ensure all details are accurate before submitting the application form.
  6. Download Confirmation Page: Save and print the confirmation page for future reference.

Important Guidelines for Applicants:

  • Verify that all personal and academic details in the application form are accurate. Discrepancies may result in disqualification.
  • Retain copies of the confirmation page, admit card, and fee receipt until the admission process is complete.
  • Adhere to the dress code and instructions mentioned on the admit card on the exam day.
  • Arrive at the exam center well in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
