Admit cards for CAT 2016 delayed by 6 days

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 admit cards will now get released after six days, official website of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) said.

As per the new notice, “CAT 2016 Admit Cards can be downloaded from 01:00 PM on Monday October 24, 2016.”

This year, the examination will be held on December 4.

All the candidates who successfully clear the selection process will get admitted in 20 different IIM institutes.

How to download the admit cards?

Once the same will be released, all the candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps:

• Log on to the official website, https://iimcat.ac.in/

• Click on relevant link

• Enter all the required details in space provided

• Click to submit

• Admit cards will be displayed

• All the candidates are advised to take printout of the same for future reference

Earlier, the admit cards were scheduled to be out today, October 18.

Why this delay?

As per reports, this delay of six days in issuing the admit cards is due to two major reasons:

• Higher registrations with 2.32 lakh candidates

• Extension of registration date by five days

All the candidates will be selected on the basis of Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) followed by Personal Interviews (PI) round.
Furthermore, all the candidates who successfully clear the selection process will get admitted in 20 different IIM institutes.
