AIIMS Admission 2016: Apply for Post Doctoral Fellowship programmes

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar (AIIMS) has invited candidates to apply for admission into post-doctoral fellowship programmes in critical care medicine and palliative care medicine.

Total two seats are available for the programmes. One seat each is available for each of the disciplines out of the total number of seats available. Candidates can check the official notification from AIIMS website i.e.www.aiimsbhubaneshwar.edu.in.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences Bhubaneswar is a medical college and medical research public university located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. The Institute operates autonomously under the aegis of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Eligibility criteria Educational qualification: 1.Critical Care: Those interested in applying must be MD/ MS/ DNB/ MCh/ DM from a recognised institute or must possess any other qualification approved by the institute for this purpose from time to time in any of the following specialities– anaesthesiology, internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, paediatrics, general surgery and emergency medicine.

2.Palliative Medicine: Those interested in applying must be MD/ MS/ DNB/ MCh/ DM from a recognised institute or any other qualification approved by the institute for this purpose from time to time in any of the following specialities– radiotherapy, anaesthesiology, medicine, and general surgery. Age limit: The candidates must be 45 years as on the last date of the receipt of the application.

Important date: The last date for submission of application is August 5, 2016.

Selection procedure: A written examination, followed by an interview will be conducted for shortlisting and final selection of the candidates.The test will be based on MCQs in critical care medicine (total marks 80). The date, time and venue for the same will be intimated in due course of time through the admit card. Only those who obtain 50 per cent or more marks in the written examination will be eligible for the interview.

The total number of candidates called for the interview will be maximum of three times the number of seats available in the respective category including general. The result of the written examination will be displayed on the notice board of the examination section at AIIMS.
