By organizing the AlgoQueen contest for girls, we want to help reduce the gender gap in the domain. Competitive programming builds a strong foundation to develop problem-solving techniques and critical thinking. It also enhances basic mathematical and algorithmic skills and one’s knowledge about data structures. This, in turn, helps students build logical and analytical skills.”

It is open to all girl students from schools across India in teams of two or three. The questionnaires will be prepared entirely by students of Amrita School of Engineering.

To guide participants and boost their confidence, online training sessions will be held prior to the contestthat will be hosted on an external platform known as Competitive Drills Contests.
