As many as 11,293 medical seat aspirants attempted the Post Graduate Entrance Test, conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), at 27 centres here on Sunday.
The consortium reported 83 per cent attendance for the test to admission to 12 medical colleges. It reported 92 per cent (4,124 candidates) attendance for the test to admission to 19 dental colleges.
The general response from the students was that this year’s test was tougher than last year’s. Anusha N.S., a medical seat aspirant, said the questions were tougher compared to the previous year’s question paper, and that the questions were not distributed equally for all topics. “The maximum questions were related to radiology,” she said. Another student, on condition of anonymity, said two questions were repeated in the paper.
A COMEDK press release said the provisional answer keys had been notified on the website (www.comedk.org) on Sunday evening and the final keys would be notified on February 13. The rank list will be notified on February 24.
