National, January 27, 2021: Atria University, Bangalore, has launched its flagship Career Workshop Series 2021 for high school (class 10th, 11th, and 12th), undergraduate, and graduate students. The ongoing series, starting February 13, 2021, aims to acquaint future leaders with exciting emerging careers through immersive experiences across industry sectors. The first workshop in the series, Foundations of Visual Creativity, will be facilitated by Greg Marinovich, Pulitzer-prize winner photojournalist, Leonie Marinovich, acclaimed international multimedia journalist, and Dr. Santanu Charkaborty, Program Director, Life Sciences, Atria University.
The Career Workshop Series offers a virtual and project-driven journey where students will explore emerging career domains and build their work portfolios. They will learn from and work with accomplished industry professionals who are changing the landscape in their respective fields. The workshops will be hosted over weekends through Xcelerator, Atria University’s online learning and placement platform.
Commenting on the initiative, Shilpa Penumatsa, Academic Director, Atria University said, “Employers today are increasingly seeking candidates with interdisciplinary skills and work experience. The demands of the existing and emerging workplaces will have little space for single-domain expertise or graduates sans experience. The Career Workshop Series is our commitment towards preparing future leaders with real-world experience and arming them with work portfolios, no matter which grade they are in. It also aims to introduce students to some of the most dynamic career tracks that are gaining momentum now and will continue to offer growth opportunities in the future. These workshops will offer students a preview to emerging careers, positioning them to explore and choose a path that is aligned to their passions and goals.”
Enrollment to the first workshop on photography, Foundations of Visual Creativity, is currently underway. The enrollment fee for this workshop is INR 15,000. Registrations will remain open till February 11, 2021. To register or know more about the workshops, please visit: https://www.atriauniversity.org/career-workshops/
