Canadian International School Inaugurates ‘The Odeum’ it’s performance theatre

Canadian International School (CIS), Bangalore inaugurated its performance theatre, The Odeum, which will be made available to the greater Bangalore community for live performances. The Odeum, a 470 seat theatre, with ‘state of the art’ sound, lighting, stage and acoustics, will become a landmark venue in North Bangalore for performing arts enthusiasts. The Odeum is the only performance theatre in North Bangalore for musical and theatrical performances.
CIS’s two-fold vision for the Odeum is to inspire its students to become better performers as well as serve the North Bangalore area by making the Odeum available as a performance venue for the greater Bangalore community.
The Odeum was inaugurated by Ms. Shweta Sastri, Executive Director, Canadian International School, Bangalore. The inauguration event witnessed a breathtaking performance by ‘Sunaad’, an eclectic group of singers from Bangalore, as they performed ‘Isha Rumi – Beyond Form’. The show was dedicated in fond and loving memory of Mr. KNS Sastri.
Mr. Ramani Sastri, Chairman of Canadian International School, Bangalore, who envisioned the creation of this theatre, quoted, “The Odeum is designed using the latest technologies for artists and will become a landmark venue for various musical and theatrical performances. The attention to detail with which the theatre has been created is incredible. This is a moment of pride for the CIS community.”
