CAT 2014 Schedule

The students who have applied for CAT 2014, can download their admit cards from Sunday the 19th of Oct 2014,  2:00 Pm until Wednesday the 22nd of Oct.

The city in which the student will take the test will be communicated on the card. This will be based on the center and node availability.

CAT which is the entrance test for the Indian Institute Of Management – IIMs and most premier Business Schools (B-Schools) in India will be held on Sunday the 16th of November and Sat the 22nd November  2014 (forenoon and afternoon sessions on both days).

The results for CAT 2014 is expected by the Third week of December 2014 .

The convenor this year is IIM Indore.

This year, 1,89,796 candidates had registered for CAT 2014.

This year the examination experience would be different from previous years, in an attempt to better the experience for students taking up the test,

• The duration of the examination has been increased to 170 minutes from the previous limit of 140 minutes.
• Moreover, the questions in each section, Quantitative Ability (QA) and Data Interpretation (DI) as well as Verbal Ability (VA) and Logical Reasoning (LR), have been increased to 50 in each section from the previous total of 30 questions.
• The candidates have the flexibility to devote more or less time to each section according to their ability and they can switch over from one section to another for the duration of the examination.
• Tutorial to understand the format of the examination will not be available before the start of the examination and hence candidates have been advised to do the tutorials from the website well in advance.
