CBSE Extends Application Deadlines for Scholarship Schemes

New Delhi, December 28, 2024 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension of the application deadlines for its merit scholarship schemes, including the Single Girl Child Scholarship for Class 10 students. This extension aims to provide eligible candidates with additional time to apply, ensuring that no deserving student misses the opportunity2.

Key Details:

• Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 (Fresh Applications): Deadline extended to January 10, 2025.
• Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 (Renewal for 2024): Deadline extended to January 10, 2025.
• Verification by Schools: Applications must be verified by schools by January 17, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2024: For students who completed Class 10 in 2024 and are now studying in Class 11 at CBSE-affiliated schools.
• Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2023 (Renewal): For students renewing their scholarship awarded in 2023.
• Eligibility: Must be a single girl child (the only child of the parents), with a minimum score of 60% in the CBSE Class 10 Examination.

Application Process:

2. Navigate to the ‘Scholarship’ section and select the relevant scheme.
3. Choose between fresh or renewal applications.
