On December 9, 2025, the city of Mysuru came alive with color, creativity, and boundless energy as nearly 1,000 students from 37 government schools gathered to showcase their extraordinary talents at the annual Pratibha Karanjee Talent Day.
Organized with the full support of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka, this vibrant event gave children from classes 1 to 10 a grand stage to express themselves through drawing and painting, fancy dress competitions, and a variety of cultural performances including dance, music, and drama.
From the moment the first tiny artist put crayon to paper to the final applause for a spirited group dance, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Little superheroes, traditional folk characters, and imaginative creatures paraded across the stage in the fancy dress segment, while singers and dancers brought the audience to their feet with performances that ranged from classical Bharatanatyam to energetic folk routines.
What made the day truly special was watching children who rarely get such platforms shine with confidence. For many of these young participants, most of whom come from rural and economically modest backgrounds, Pratibha Karanjee Talent Day was more than a competition—it was a celebration of their dreams and a reminder that talent knows no boundaries.
The drawing competition saw hundreds of colorful masterpieces depicting everything from village life and nature to futuristic cities and favorite superheroes. Judges had a tough time choosing winners, as every artwork told its own unique story.
Behind the scenes, teachers and Block Education Officers worked tirelessly to ensure smooth coordination across 37 schools, while government officials and local dignitaries graced the event, applauding the students’ efforts and reaffirming the state’s commitment to nurturing holistic development alongside academics.
Events like Pratibha Karanjee remind us why investing in government school children matters. When given encouragement, resources, and a stage, these young minds don’t just participate—they inspire.
As the sun set on a day filled with laughter, applause, and proud tears from parents and teachers, one thing was clear: the future of Mysuru is bright, bold, and beautifully talented.
