The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has uploaded details of the test on its website. This is the second of the three-part brochure that the KEA will be releasing.
The CET for admissions to government seats (and government-quota seats in private colleges, subject to the implementation of the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006) will be held on April 29 and 30.
S.N. Gangadharaiah, Administrative Officer, KEA, told The Hindu that there were no major changes in the test pattern. The big change this time has been in the way the all-important CET brochure has been delivered to the students.
While for the first time the application form for the CET went online, which was the first part of the brochure (it used to be part of a printed brochure before), the second part was uploaded on the KEA website on Thursday. This too is online and explains the nitty-gritty of the exam.
The third part will be a printed brochure and will detail post-exam procedures, including the number of seats, counselling process, option entry and reservation details. This will be distributed to students for free on April 30, the last day of the CET. “We had to do this as we got complaints of students discarding the printed brochures immediately after sending the application forms, attached to the book. They would not read the other directions,” Mr. Gangadharaiah said.
