CET for Maritime University on June 14

Indian Maritime University is switching over to Computer-based Common Entrance Test (CET) from 2014 onwards.  It will conduct the Computer-based CETs 2014 on Saturday, 14th June 2014 afternoon, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. in a single shift across 34 cities viz. New Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Cochin, Jaipur, Dehradun, Chennai, Kolkata, Ranchi, Visakhapatnam, Pune, Kota, Bhopal, Meerut, Trivandrum, Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore, Nagpur, Guwahati, Siliguri, Port Blair, Hubli, Jodpur, Jabalpur, Raipur, Agra, Allahabad, Shimla and Srinagar.
Admissions to the various UG and PG courses taught in 7 Campuses of the Indian Maritime University, Chennai and its 36 Affiliated Institutions are made through Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted every year. Till 2013, the CET used to be in the pen-and-paper mode.
The IMU, Chennai has selected Tata Consultancy Services Ltd., as the Service Provider who will provide End-to-End services for the conduct of the Computer-based CETs 2014, except for the setting up of Question Papers which will be done by the University itself.
There will be one common CET for all the UG Courses viz. B.Tech (Marine Engineering), B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering), B.Sc (Ship Building & Repair), B.Sc (Maritime Science), B.Sc (Nautical Science), Diploma in Nautical Science (DNS) leading to B.Sc (Nautical Science). There will be one CET for the 2 MBA courses viz. M.B.A (Port & Shipping Management) and M.B.A (International Transportation & Logistics Management), another CET for the 2 M.Tech courses viz. M.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering), M.Tech (Dredging & Harbour Engineering), and yet another CET for LLM (Maritime Law) course.
