CISF Announces Recruitment for 1,161 Constable/Tradesmen Positions

Bengaluru, February 27, 2025 – The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has officially announced the commencement of its recruitment drive for 1,161 Constable/Tradesmen positions. This significant recruitment effort aims to bolster the force’s capabilities across various trades, ensuring a robust security framework for the nation’s critical infrastructure.

Application Details: The online application process will begin on March 5, 2025, and will remain open until April 3, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official CISF recruitment website cisfrectt.cisf.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or its equivalent from a recognized board by the application deadline. For skilled trades such as Barber, Boot Maker/Cobbler, Tailor, Cook, Carpenter, Mali, Painter, Charge Mechanic, Washerman, Welder, Electrician, and Motor Pump Attendant, preference will be given to those with Industrial Training Institute (ITI) training. For unskilled trades like Sweeper, Matriculation or its equivalent is required.

  • Constable/Sweeper: 152 posts
  • Constable/Tailor: 23 posts

  • Constable/Electrician: 4 posts
  • Constable/Mali: 4 posts
  • Constable/Painter: 2 posts
  • Constable/Welder: 1 post
  • Constable/Charge Mechanic: 1 post
  • Constable/Motor Pump Attendant: 2 posts3.

Selection Process: The selection process will include a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standards Test (PST), Documentation, Trade Test, Written Exam, and Medical Examination. These stages will be conducted at various recruitment centers across the country3.

Application Fee: The application fee is ₹100 for UR, OBC, and EWS candidates. Female candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Ex-servicemen categories are exempted from paying the application fee.

  3. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) by entering personal details.

  6. Upload the required documents and make the payment.
  7. Review all details and click “Final Submission”.
  8. Download and print the submitted application form for future reference2.
