The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) results have been temporarily withdrawn by the Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), as there are some “technical discrepancies” .
On Sunday evening, the CLAT website put up an announcement that the results will be withheld “till further intimation and guidelines on the admission process”. Students have been asked to keep checking their accounts regularly so that they can fill in their preferences.
R Venkata Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the National Law School of India University and member of the CLAT core committee, said he doesn’t know why the results were withheld.
According to legal news website ‘Legally India’, hundreds of candidates have complained of “serious errors in the marking of their results” which were put up on Saturday. They have demanded to see their optical mark recognition (OMR) answer sheets. A Facebook group called ‘CLAT 2014 – I want to see my OMR’ has been created, where candidates are discussing discrepancies.
