COMEDK UGET 2025 Counselling Begins: Key Dates and Process

Bengaluru, June 9, 2025 – The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) has officially launched the counselling process for the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2025, paving the way for admissions to over 190 private engineering colleges across Karnataka. The online registration and document upload process began on June 9, 2025, at 4:00 PM and will remain open until June 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM, following an extended deadline.

Counselling Schedule and Key Dates

COMEDK UGET 2025 counselling is conducted entirely online and consists of three main rounds, with an additional round for supplementary exam candidates. The process includes registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting to allotted institutes. Below are the key dates for Round 1:

  • Registration and Document Upload: June 9, 2025 (4:00 PM) to June 30, 2025 (11:00 AM)
  • Document Verification: Concluded by July 12, 2025
  • Choice Filling (Mock Round): July 18, 2025 (4:00 PM) to July 20, 2025 (4:00 PM)
  • Mock Allotment Results: July 22, 2025
  • Edit Window for Choices: Until July 24, 2025
  • Final Seat Allotment: July 28, 2025 to August 1, 2025
  • Reporting to Allotted Colleges: July 26, 2025 to August 4, 2025 (12:00 PM)
  • Seat Surrender Period: Until August 4, 2025 (11:00 AM)

Round 2, split into phases for Hyderabad-Karnataka Region (HKR) and General Merit candidates, is expected in late July and early August, respectively, with Round 3 concluding in early September.

Eligibility and Registration Process

Candidates who qualified for the COMEDK UGET 2025, held on May 10 and May 25, 2025, are eligible to participate. The exam saw 1,13,111 candidates competing for approximately 20,000 engineering seats. To register, candidates must:

  1. Visit the official website, comedk.org.
  2. Log in using their application number and password.
  3. Pay a non-refundable counselling fee of ₹2,000.
  4. Upload required documents, ensuring each file is under 1 MB and in JPG, JPEG, or PDF format.
  5. Submit the application and download the confirmation page.

Required documents include:

  • Class 10 marksheet or birth certificate (for date of birth proof)
  • Class 12 or 2nd PUC marks card (original or DigiLocker copy)
  • COMEDK UGET 2025 rank card and hall ticket
  • ID proof (e.g., PAN, passport, or voter ID)
  • Karnataka domicile certificate and HKR certificate (if applicable)
  • NATA 2025 or JEE Paper 2 score card for B.Arch admissions
  • VTU eligibility certificate or declaration for OCI/PIO candidates or those below 17 years

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

The choice filling for the mock round begins on July 18, 2025, allowing candidates to select preferred colleges and courses. A mock allotment on July 22, 2025, will provide a preliminary view of potential seat allocations, with an edit window open until July 24, 2025. The final seat allotment, based on merit, preferences, and seat availability, will be announced between July 28 and August 1, 2025. Candidates must pay a seat acceptance fee of ₹55,000 to confirm their admission.

Additional Notes

  • B.Arch Counselling: Candidates applying for B.Arch programs must upload NATA 2025 or JEE Paper 2 scores and have until July 17, 2025, to edit their choices.
  • Supplementary Candidates: Those who passed Class 12 via supplementary exams can participate in Round 2, Phase 2, or the exclusive round for leftover seats.
  • Fee Refunds: Candidates surrendering seats in Round 1 may receive a ₹50,000 refund, but fees for seats allotted in Rounds 2 and 3 are non-refundable.
  • Coordination with KEA: COMEDK delayed its counselling to align with the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) schedule, starting on July 18, 2025, after KEA’s first round.
