Bengaluru: Students who wrote the SSLC exams conducted in April have created history, clocking the highest ever pass percentage of 81.82. These are an improvement over last year`s results by 0.

In a first, students will be awarded grades and percentage besides marks in the report card. In terms of pass percentage, Udupi, which was in the 10th position last year, scaled up to No. 1 this year clocking 93.

The topper, Vishwajith Prakash Hedge from Sirsi, scored 623 out of 625. The second place has been shared by five students who secured 622 marks; 15 students came third with 621 marks. Girls have once again fared better than boys.
The pass percentage of girls and boys is 86.23% and 77.85% respectively.
This year, there has been a phenomenal increase in those who have scored a centum in maths: their number has jumped from 300 last year to 1,434. The centum wave is high in first language .
