Dr. Zimmermann also spoke about The GeoVid project that explores the concept of sensor-rich video tagging with a continuous stream of extended geographic properties that relate to the camera scenes. This meta-data is then utilized for storing, indexing and searching large collections of community-generated videos.
Another eminent speaker Dr. Raja Datta spoke on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN)- these are the sensors that can detect the smallest of the particles such as dust for investigation and these sensors can also be used in air pollution monitoring, forecasting system, soil moisture monitoring, disaster relief monitoring and body area monitoring.
Dr. Vikas Mathur spoke on cloud computing and the factors that one must consider while opting for cloud computing data management.
