A Stanford University initiative, the WiDS conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists across the world; the conference will cover topics around data science related research and applications
The Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIM Bangalore will be hosting the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference on March 09 (Saturday), 2019, at the IIMB auditorium. WiDS is an initiative of Stanford University and IIM Bangalore is hosting the Bangalore region event.
The WiDS conference aims to inspire and educate data scientists across the world. This one-day technical conference is being held in Bangalore for the first time and will have leading women data scientists as speakers. The discussions will cover topics around data science related research and applications.
All are welcome to attend the conference, which will feature outstanding women doing outstanding work in the area of Data Science and other fields, who will share stories about their work and challenges they face. The speakers are Professor Vasanthi Srinivasan, IIMB faculty from the Organizational Behavior & Human Resources Management area; Dr. Sunita Maheshwari, Paediatric Cardiologist, Teleradiology Solutions; Dr. Diane Chang, Data Scientist, Intuit; Professor Haritha Saranga, IIMB faculty from the Production & Operations Management area; Dr. Gargi B Dasgupta, Senior Manager and Researcher, IBM; Shweta Shandilya, Program Director, IBM; Dr. Usha Ramanathan, Professor, Nottingham Business School, UK; Deepa Madhavan, Director, PayPal; Sowjanya Chalamkuri, Sr. Director, GE Digital; Shailaja Grover, Program Manager, IIMB; Vidya Chandrasekaran, Engineering Manager, PayPal; Sunila Gollapudi, Executive Vice President, Broadridge, and Lakshya Sivaramakrishnan, Manager, Women Techmakers Program, Google.
