HP has shortlisted Indian students and an educator as finalists for the World Education Medals 2025, recognizing AI’s role in transforming education.
Three Indians stand out among the 15 global finalists across leaders, educators, and students categories. Vineeta Garg, Head of IT at a Delhi school, competes in the Educators category for her EmpowerED with AI initiative, which creates multilingual AI resources, accessible tools, and gamified platforms. In the Students category, 16-year-old Raul John Aju from Kerala, founder of AIrealm Technologies Pvt Ltd, advances with ThinkCraft Academy to make AI education accessible from rural schools to universities. Fellow student Ashwat Prasanna from Bengaluru, founder of EyeSight, focuses on inclusive STEM tools for visually impaired learners.
The medals celebrate impact, leadership, and advocacy in ethical AI use for social good in education. Finalists hail from countries including the US, UAE, Philippines, Switzerland, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Italy, and Greece. Winners, selected by a Global Judging Academy, will be announced next month and honored at the Education Leaders Forum in London.
This recognition highlights India’s rising contributions to global AI-driven education innovations, especially in accessibility and inclusivity. Mayank Dhingra, HP’s Director and Global Head of Education Business, praised the Indian finalists for advancing equitable learning futures.
