The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is pleased to announce the International Conference on Sun, Space Weather and Solar-Stellar Connections (SSWSC) 2025, to be held from January 20-24, 2025, at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru. This conference commemorates the 125th anniversary of the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory (KSO) and aims to bring together the international community of researchers to discuss progress in our understanding of solar magnetism and its variability over diverse spatial, temporal, and energy scales.
The conference will feature keynote addresses from eminent scientists and researchers in the field of solar physics, including Professor S.P. Rajaguru, Director of IIA, and Dr. Yoshita Baruah, a leading researcher from CESSI, IISER Kolkata. The event will include paper presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing a platform for researchers, clinicians, and students to share their latest findings and collaborate on future research directions.
SSWSC 2025 aims to promote awareness of the current developments in solar physics and related fields, and to foster scientific collaborations that contribute to the advancement of our understanding of the Sun and its impact on the near-Earth environment.
