Aspiring postgraduate medical students in Karnataka have reason to celebrate a bit earlier this festive season. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has advanced the release of the provisional seat allotment results for Round 2 of NEET PG 2025 counselling to today, December 22, 2025, after 6 PM. This update comes as a pleasant surprise, moving the announcement ahead from the previously scheduled date.
This development impacts thousands of candidates vying for admissions to MD/MS postgraduate medical courses in government and private medical colleges across the state. The counselling process covers 50% state quota seats in government institutions and 100% seats in private colleges.
KEA’s decision to expedite the provisional results reflects ongoing adjustments in the counselling schedule, influenced by recent court directions and coordination with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota seats. The authority aims to streamline the process, allowing candidates more time for subsequent steps amid the busy end-of-year period.
Important note: All candidates allotted seats in Round 2 must complete the admission process by paying the required fees, irrespective of the seat category. Additionally, following a recent High Court order, candidates who secure seats in Round 2 will now be eligible for upgradation in Round 3.
Candidates who participated in Round 2 choice filling can follow these simple steps:
If you’re allotted a seat, prepare to act quickly on fee payment and document submission.
This advancement brings relief and excitement to candidates eagerly awaiting their postgraduate destinies. Stay glued to the official KEA portal for the results post-6 PM today, and best of luck to all aspirants—may your hard work translate into your dream specialization and college!
