The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) declared the Pre-University Course’s (PUC) 2nd Year 2015 results on Monday, 18 May and it is a happy news for the coastal districts.
Dakshina Kannada has top the state with a pass percentage of 93.09, while Udupi stands second with 92.32 percent. Uttara Kannada is at the third spot with 81.19 percent and Gadag is at the bottom of the list with 51.02 percent.
More than 6.1 lakh students had appeared in Science, Commerce and Arts streams. While 3.1 lakh students were boys, 4.96 lakh students were girls. 82,067 were repeaters.
This time too, girls have outshone the boys with a pass percentage of 68.24 percent, as against 58.09% among boys.
As many as 47 colleges in the state have got zero pass percentage, while 55 colleges have secured cent percent results.
Students who topped from Bengaluru for Arts, Commerce and Science include Veena S Reddy L (Commerce) with 593 marks , Gowthami P (Science) with 595 marks and Hitankshi M Trivedi (Arts) with 579 marks.
