Karnataka PUC Results 2025: 2nd PUC Results Set for April 8, Official Announcement Confirms

Bengaluru, April 7, 2025 – The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has officially confirmed that the results for the Karnataka 2nd Pre-University Certificate (PUC) examinations of 2025 will be released on April 8, 2025. The much-anticipated announcement has brought relief and excitement to nearly 7 lakh students who appeared for the exams held between March 1 and March 20, 2025, across various centers in the state. The Department of Pre-University Education, Karnataka, which oversees the PUC examinations, has ensured a streamlined process to deliver the results on schedule.

The 2nd PUC exams, a pivotal step for students aiming to secure admission into undergraduate programs, were conducted for the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams. The evaluation process kicked off immediately after the exams concluded, with thousands of teachers and officials working diligently to complete the assessment within the stipulated timeframe. According to KSEAB officials, the results will be accessible online via the official portal, karresults.nic.in, starting at 10:00 AM on April 8. Students will need to log in using their registration numbers and date of birth to download their digital scorecards. Physical copies of the marksheets will be distributed later through respective colleges.

In a statement released on April 6, a senior KSEAB official said, “We are committed to ensuring transparency and efficiency in the result declaration process. A press conference will be held on the morning of April 8 to announce key statistics, including the overall pass percentage, stream-wise performance, and details of top performers.” Last year, the 2nd PUC exams saw a pass percentage of 81.15%, and educationists are eager to see if this year’s results will reflect an upward trend.

Meanwhile, the 1st PUC results for 2025 were declared earlier on March 31, following the exams conducted from February 10 to February 25. Unlike the 2nd PUC, the 1st PUC evaluations were handled at the college level, with individual institutions uploading results to the board’s database. Over 6.5 lakh students had registered for the 1st PUC exams this year, marking a slight increase from the previous academic session.

The announcement has sparked a flurry of activity among students and parents, many of whom are preparing for the next steps in their academic or professional journeys. “I’ve been waiting anxiously for this day,” said Priya S., a 2nd PUC Science student from Bengaluru. “The results will determine my college options, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.” Career counselors have advised students to check the official website frequently and beware of unofficial sources claiming to provide results.

To access their results, students are instructed to visit karresults.nic.in, click on the “Karnataka 2nd PUC Result 2025” link, enter their credentials, and save the scorecard for future reference. In case of discrepancies, the board has assured that a grievance redressal mechanism will be available post-result declaration. With just one day to go, the countdown to April 8 has officially begun for Karnataka’s PUC students.
