Results Announcement and Access

The KCET 2025 results were announced on May 24, 2025, with scorecards available for download starting at 2:00 PM on the official KEA websites, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in. Gender Statistics

The KCET 2025 results provide insight into the gender distribution of qualified candidates across various streams. Based on last year’s data, which serves as a reference, the gender breakdown for qualified candidates is as follows:

The 2025 results are expected to follow a similar trend, with girls outnumbering boys in most streams, particularly in nursing and pharmacy. KEA is yet to release the exact gender statistics for 2025, but preliminary reports suggest a continued increase in female participation, reflecting growing interest among girls in professional courses.

Counselling and Next Steps

Following the result declaration, KEA will initiate the KCET 2025 counselling process in June 2025. The counselling will involve document verification, choice filling, and seat allotment based on ranks, categories, and seat availability. Candidates are advised to verify their scorecard details and report any discrepancies to KEA promptly. The merit list and category-wise cut-off ranks, which determine the minimum qualifying marks for admission, will also be published soon.

Karnataka Minister of Higher Education Dr. M.C. Sudhakar noted that seat allotment will occur after the NEET 2025 results, ensuring a coordinated admission process for medical and allied courses.

Challenges and Updates

A notable issue this year was the incorrect entry of 2nd PUC registration numbers by some candidates, leading to missing ranks. KEA’s decision to reopen the portal on May 26 demonstrates its commitment to ensuring all eligible candidates receive their ranks. Additionally, the delay in result announcement until May 24 was due to the compilation of ‘best of two’ marks from the Karnataka PUC Exam 2, finalized on May 16.

Conclusion

The KCET 2025 results mark a pivotal moment for over 3.3 lakh candidates, with 2.75 lakh securing eligibility for professional courses. Bengaluru’s dominance in engineering, alongside strong performances from districts like Mysuru, Uttara Kannada, and Mandya, highlights Karnataka’s diverse academic talent. The significant participation of girls across streams underscores the increasing inclusivity in professional education. As candidates prepare for the counselling process, the focus now shifts to securing seats in Karnataka’s top institutions.
