Bengaluru, August 4, 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has commenced the document verification process for candidates seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other medical courses under the Karnataka quota through NEET UG 2026.

Candidates who have successfully registered for the Karnataka NEET UG counselling process are required to attend document verification on the date and time allotted by KEA. The verification process is a mandatory step before candidates can participate in option entry and seat allotment.

Applicants must report to the designated verification centre with all original documents along with the prescribed photocopies. The documents generally include the NEET UG 2026 score card, admit card, SSLC/Class 10 marks card, II PUC/Class 12 marks card, study certificates, domicile and reservation certificates (where applicable), identity proof and other documents specified by KEA.

KEA has advised candidates to verify the reporting schedule carefully and ensure that all certificates are complete and valid. Any discrepancy or missing document may delay the verification process and could affect participation in the subsequent counselling rounds.

Following the completion of document verification, KEA will publish the list of verified candidates, after which eligible applicants will be able to exercise their web options by selecting their preferred medical, dental and AYUSH colleges. Seat allotment will then be conducted based on the candidate’s NEET UG rank, reservation category, preferences and seat availability.

Thousands of students from Karnataka are expected to participate in the state counselling process for admission to government, private and deemed medical institutions. Candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official KEA counselling portal for updates regarding option entry dates, mock allotment, seat allotment schedules and reporting instructions.
