KEA Extends NEET UG 2025 Counselling Registration Deadline to July 17

Bengaluru, July 15, 2025 – The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for Karnataka NEET UG 2025 counselling to July 17, 2025, providing additional time for aspiring medical, dental, and AYUSH course candidates. The decision aims to accommodate more eligible students who qualified in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025, conducted in May this year, with results declared on June 14.

Key Details of the Extended Schedule

Candidates can now complete their registration for the state quota counselling process through the official KEA website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, until 11:00 AM on July 17, 2025. Following registration, document verification is scheduled to take place on July 18 and 19, 2025, based on candidates’ NEET UG 2025 ranks.

  • Document Verification Schedule:
    • Candidates with NEET UG ranks from 600,001 to 1,000,000: July 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
    • Candidates with ranks from 1,000,001 to the last rank: July 19, 2025, from 2:00 PM onwards.
    • Submission of special category certificates and Kannada language test/medical examination for relevant candidates: July 17, 2025.

Registration Process

Eligible candidates, including those who have not yet linked their NEET UG roll numbers, can complete the registration by following these steps:

  1. Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  2. Select the “UGNEET-2025 New Registration” option (for new applicants) or log in to link NEET UG roll numbers.
  3. Fill in personal and academic details.
  4. Upload required documents.
  5. Pay the registration fee.
  6. Submit the application and download the verification slip.

Candidates must ensure their NEET UG roll numbers are authenticated against the National Testing Agency (NTA) database during the registration process. Only those who meet the NEET UG 2025 qualifying cut-off are eligible to apply for undergraduate medical, dental, Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy courses for the 2025-26 academic year.

Importance of Document Verification

The document verification process is mandatory for admission to MBBS, BDS, and AYUSH courses under the Karnataka state quota. Candidates must appear in person with original documents, including special category certificates (if applicable), on the specified dates. KEA has also published an option entry guide to assist candidates in selecting their preferred colleges and courses.

Additional Context

This extension follows KEA’s earlier registration window, which closed on July 10, 2025, and the reopening of registrations from July 7 to 10 for candidates who missed the initial deadline. The authority has emphasized that no offline submissions will be accepted, and candidates are urged to verify their details on the KEA portal to ensure accuracy.

For further updates and detailed instructions, candidates are advised to regularly check the official KEA website. This extension offers a critical opportunity for NEET UG 2025 qualifiers to secure admissions in Karnataka’s prestigious medical, dental, and AYUSH institutions.
