Bengaluru’s beloved Lalbagh Botanical Garden is gearing up for its 217th flower show, set to begin on January 16, 2025, and run through January 26, 2025. This year’s theme, honoring Maharishi Valmiki, the revered author of the Ramayana, promises to be a visual spectacle2.
The show will feature 25 lakh flowers, with a staggering 10 lakh flowers dedicated to the centerpiece alone. Visitors can expect to see intricate floral displays depicting Valmiki’s ashram, key scenes from the Ramayana, and his transformation from the bandit Ratnakar to a revered sage2.
The Glass House will come alive with vibrant colors and creative designs, showcasing tropical flowers like salvia, zinnia, and petunia, as well as subtropical and temperate flowers such as chrysanthemum, azalea, and begonia. The event will also include cultural performances, workshops, and exhibitions, making it a fun and educational experience for people of all ages2.
Entry fees are set at ₹80 for adults on weekdays and ₹100 on weekends, with children paying ₹10 on weekdays and ₹30 on weekends. Schoolchildren in uniform and morning walkers before 9 AM will enjoy free entry2.
