NEET SS 2025 Dates Officially Confirmed: Exam on 26–27 December 2025

Great news for all DM/MCh aspirants! The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has finally released the official schedule for NEET Super Specialty 2025. The exam will be conducted on 26th and 27th December 2025 in computer-based test (CBT) mode.

Key Highlights of NEET SS 2025

  • Exam Dates: 26 & 27 December 2025 (Two-day exam, similar to the revised pattern introduced in recent years)
  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Exam Centres in Karnataka: Yes, multiple centres across the state have been allocated (Bengaluru, Hubli-Dharwad, Mangalore, Mysore, etc., as per previous trends)
  • Result Declaration: Expected in January 2026
  • Counselling: MCC for All India 50% seats and respective state authorities for state quota seats

Why This Matters for Karnataka Candidates

Karnataka has a significant number of super-speciality seats in both government and private medical colleges (KIMS Hubli, BMC Bengaluru, St. John’s, etc.). With centres available within the state, candidates from Karnataka will save on travel and accommodation expenses compared to earlier years when some had to travel to neighboring states.

The confirmation of in-state centres also reduces last-minute anxiety and allows better preparation planning during the festive season.

Registration Status – Don’t Miss the Deadline!

As of November 2025, the application window is still open. If you haven’t applied yet:

  • Visit the official website: nbe.edu.in or natboard.edu.in
  • The last date to submit the application is likely in the first week of December 2025 (exact date will be updated on the NBEMS portal)
  • Application correction window usually opens a few days after the closure of registration

Quick Checklist Before You Apply

  • Valid MD/MS/DNB degree completion by 31st December 2025
  • Permanent/Provisional SMC/IMC registration
  • Scanned copies of photograph, signature, and thumb impression as per specifications
  • Category certificate (if applicable)

Preparation Tip for the Last Lap

With roughly 5–6 weeks left, focus on:

  • High-yield topics from your parent PG specialty (90% weightage)
  • Recent guidelines and landmark trials
  • Previous 3–4 years’ NEET SS question papers (pattern has stabilized now)
  • Mock tests in CBT format (time management is crucial in the new 2-paper system)

The December timing means you’ll be writing the exam right after Christmas — plan your revision schedule accordingly and avoid burnout during the holiday week.

Stay updated through the official NBEMS website and avoid relying on unverified social media posts about “postponement” rumors.

All the very best to every super-speciality aspirant! This is your final hurdle before the dream branches like Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Surgical Gastroenterology, and more.

If you have any specific doubts about eligibility, syllabus, or centre allotment, drop them in the comments — happy to help!
