The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially commenced the online registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026. Aspiring candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and allied health science courses can now submit their applications through the official examination portal. The registration window will remain open until 08 March 2026.
According to the examination calendar released by the NTA, NEET UG 2026 is expected to be conducted on 03 May 2026 across various centers in India and abroad. The entrance test will be held in offline (pen-and-paper) mode and will determine admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, veterinary, and other medical courses.
Candidates must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. Applicants should also meet the prescribed age criteria and minimum qualifying marks as outlined in the information bulletin. Students are advised to carefully review eligibility norms before submitting their forms.

The NTA will issue admit cards a few weeks prior to the examination date. Candidates will be informed about their allotted exam city in advance to help them plan travel and accommodation accordingly.
NEET UG remains the single national-level entrance examination for admission to medical colleges across India. Scores from this examination are used for counseling under All India Quota seats, state quota seats, and private medical institutions.
