The Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor B. Thimme Gowda and Canara Bank School for Management Studies Director M.K. Sridhar inaugurated the “Swachh Central College” campaign hosted by Bangalore University’s research scholars.
The Central College campus now has dry waste collection bins every 10 metres and the collected dry waste will be disposed of once every week at the dry waste collection centre at Freedom Park. All the departments in the campus now segregate dry, wet and e-waste.
Mechanical engineering students of APS College of Engineering completed three projects successfully: a drilling machine which works on pedalling and not power, a solar-powered car with 30 kmph speed, and a universal dump trailer.
