As many as 20 schools from the city secured top 10 spots under various categories in the latest Education World India School Rankings, competing against schools from across the nation, as the Annual School Survey results were announced on Friday.
The best schools under the rankings were finalised after a survey conducted across 12, 214 educationists, principals, teachers, parents and students in 27 cities and education hubs pan India, claims the researchers.
In the Day Co-Ed School Category, the Valley School, Bengaluru comes second in the all-India list. Mallya Aditi International School, Bengaluru has been voted No. 4, as has Inventure Academy, Bengaluru- No. 4 and Vidyashilp Academy, Bengaluru at No. 8.
In addition, five schools from the city fared among the top 10 at the national level for rankings under the International Day-cum-Boarding Schools category.
While Indus International School was adjudged best school, Greenwood High and Canadian International School picked the second and third spots respectively.
The International School Bangalore (Rank 5) and Stonehill International School (Rank 9) were the other schools that made it to the top 10 under the same category.
Greenwood High also secured the third rank under the Day-cum-Boarding category which saw Ebenezer International School at the eighth place. While Bishop Cotton Boys’ High School won Rank 7 in Boys Day Schools category, St Joseph’s Boys High School secured the ninth place. Under the government schools category, Kendriya Vidyalaya (Space Centre, ISRO) secured Ranik 7 among day schools while JNV Shimoga secured the tenth rank among boarding schools.
Three schools from the city that got featured in the top 10 Special Needs Schools in the country include Asha Kiran Special Needs School (Rank 5), Academy for Severe Handicaps and Autism (Rank 8) and Vidyaniketan Academy Centre for Learning Challenges (Rank 10).
