UK-based University of Southampton invites applications for MSc Cyber Security Risk Management programme
USPs of the programme: In the recent past, Cyber Security has emerged as a topic of critical importance for commercial to academic organizations and governments. The MSc Cyber Security Risk Management programme, offered by the Business School at the University of Southampton, addresses the rising demand for skilled practitioners of cyber security and its associated risk management.It aims to support the growing need for more formal and systematic approaches to the core areas of cyber security and risk management.
The Masters programme is designed to provide training and education in the application of the concepts, techniques, methods and approaches of cyber risk management in practical organizational contexts. The compulsory modules of the programmeprovide a foundation in risk and cyber-security concepts, while the wide range of optional modules allows the students to enhance their knowledge and understanding in related disciplines such as insurance, project risk management, IT systems, etc.
The course is delivered through collaboration between experts from departments who are participants in the Academic Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) and the Centre for Risk Research at Southampton. The full-time programme,accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), involves 9 months of taught study followed by three month’s work on a dissertation.

Eligibility Criteria: First or upper second class honours degree from a wide range of subjects from a reputed University. Applicants with previous work experience are encouraged to apply. English language requirements include an overall 6.5 IELTS score with 6.5 in reading and writing and 6.0 in listening and speaking.

Scholarships:Scholarships of £3,000 and £5,000 are offered to students enrolled under the MSc programmes. These scholarships will be in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
