Good news for all medical and AYUSH aspirants in Karnataka!
Even though today is a declared holiday and all medical colleges — including those affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) — remain closed, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has stepped in with a crucial last-minute extension for candidates in the ongoing counselling rounds.
Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 3 now have a few extra hours to complete the fee payment online through the KEA portal. Physical reporting to the allotted college is still mandatory by the evening of the same day, so plan your travel accordingly.
AYUSH candidates participating in the second Stray Vacancy Round get a slightly longer window to secure their seats.
With colleges shut today due to the holiday, many students and parents were understandably worried about completing admission formalities on time. KEA’s timely intervention ensures no eligible candidate loses their hard-earned seat because of the closure.
Don’t wait till the last minute — servers can get congested as the deadline approaches.
This extension is a huge relief for thousands of students across the state. KEA deserves appreciation for being responsive to ground realities.
Wishing all candidates the very best as you step into your medical journey!
