CAT Results to be put soon on the IIM website

The results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 will be released soon on the official website (iimcat.ac.in). The exam was conducted on December 4 in two sessions for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.

In order to check the results, the candidates should visit the official website and click on the link, ‘CAT Results 2016’. Thereafter, the candidates must enter the necessary details. After submitting them, the results will be displayed on the screen. The candidates must take a printout for future use.

The candidates will also be intimated individually through SMS. The score card will be valid till only December 31, 2017. The selection process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI).

If a candidate is shortlisted for interviews by any IIM, he/she must comply with the following eligibility verification:

Mark sheets and degree certificate:

• A candidate must show all the mark sheets and submit attested copies to prove his/her eligibility at the time of interview

Reservation category requirements:

• If shortlisted for interview, SC, ST, NC-OBC and PWD candidates must show the original caste/class and/or disability certificate and submit a photocopy at the time of interview

Candidates in the final year of graduation:

• If shortlisted for interview, candidates appearing for the final Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification examination must show an original certificate from the principal/registrar/director of the university/institution certifying that the candidate has obtained 50 per cent or equivalent (45 per cent in case of the candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PWD category) based on latest available grades/marks

• He/she must submit an attested copy of the original certificate at the time of interview. The last date for submitting the documents is December 31
