Bengaluru, September 11, 2026: Students who have been allotted engineering seats through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) UGCET/KCET 2026 Round 3 counselling must complete their admission process and report to their allotted colleges today, September 11.

The deadline marks the final stage of the third and final round of the centralized KCET/UGCET counselling process for engineering and several other professional courses. Candidates who have secured a seat are required to complete the prescribed admission formalities within the deadline to confirm their admission.

KCET 2026 Reporting Deadline: September 11

KEA declared the final Round 3 seat allotment result on September 7, 2026. Candidates who were allotted seats were required to pay the prescribed fees and download their admission order between September 8 and September 10.

The final deadline for reporting to the allotted college is September 11, 2026.

Students should not wait until the last moment and should contact their allotted college immediately if they require clarification regarding reporting, documents or admission formalities.

What Candidates Need to Do Today

Candidates who have received a seat through Round 3 should ensure that they have completed all applicable steps, including:

  • Confirming their allotted seat.
  • Paying the prescribed admission fee within the specified deadline.
  • Downloading the admission order or seat confirmation document.
  • Reporting to the allotted college.
  • Submitting the required original documents and certificates.
  • Completing the college’s admission formalities.

KEA has indicated that joining is mandatory for candidates who have been allotted seats in the final round.

More Than 24,000 Engineering Seats Remain Unallotted

The conclusion of Round 3 has also highlighted the significant number of vacant engineering seats in Karnataka.

According to KEA-related data reported after the final round, 24,283 engineering seats remained unallotted. These seats have been handed over to the respective colleges following the completion of the centralized allotment process. An additional 252 architecture seats also remained unallotted.

The large number of vacancies has prompted considerable attention as colleges prepare to manage seats remaining after the KEA counselling process.

No Fourth KEA Engineering Round

With Round 3 designated as the final round, candidates should not assume that another centralized KEA engineering allotment round will follow.

The unallotted engineering and architecture seats have been returned to colleges under the applicable arrangements, meaning students should carefully follow official college-level admission announcements for any further opportunities.

KEA has also issued warnings during the counselling process regarding cancellation or surrender of allotted seats and the consequences of not following the prescribed procedures.

Students should therefore complete reporting and document verification as early as possible rather than relying on last-minute arrangements.

Vacancies Across Other Courses

Engineering was not the only stream with significant vacancies following the final centralized allotment.

KEA data reported after Round 3 showed 22,832 vacant B.Sc Nursing seats, while vacancies were also recorded in pharmacy, allied health sciences, yoga and naturopathy and other courses. Veterinary seats, by comparison, were fully allotted.

Advice for KCET 2026 Students

Students who have secured their preferred or acceptable engineering seat should complete admission formalities today and retain copies of all payment receipts, admission orders and documents submitted to the institution.

Candidates should also rely on the official KEA portal and their allotted college for any last-minute instructions rather than unofficial social-media updates.
