Bengaluru, September 19, 2026: The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the Karnataka PGCET 2026 Round 1 mock seat allotment results for candidates participating in the postgraduate counselling process.

The mock allotment is applicable to admissions to MBA, MCA and MTech programmes. Candidates who completed the option-entry process can now check their indicative allotment status through the official KEA counselling portal using their CET number and date of birth.

PGCET 2026 Mock Allotment Is Indicative

KEA has clarified that the Round 1 mock allotment is not a final seat allotment. Candidates do not need to report to the allotted college at this stage, and colleges have not been authorised to admit students based on the mock allotment.

The purpose of the mock allotment is to give candidates an indication of the college and course they may receive based on their rank, category, available seats and the options entered during counselling.

Candidates should therefore use the result to review and, if necessary, revise their college and course preferences before the actual allotment.

Option Modification Deadline

Candidates can add, remove, change or reorder their options after checking the mock allotment.

KEA has also cautioned that candidates who retain their existing options may not necessarily receive the same seat in the actual allotment. This is because other candidates may modify their preferences, which can affect the final seat allocation.

Candidates Without an Allotment Should Review Their Options

Candidates who did not receive a seat in the mock allotment have also been advised to review their entered options and consider adding more colleges or courses in which they are genuinely interested.

KEA has provided candidates who had not previously entered options with an opportunity to participate by completing the required process and paying the applicable non-refundable fee of ₹750, according to the counselling information reported following the KEA notification.

PGCET 2026 Mock Cut-Offs Available

Along with the mock allotment information, candidates can check college-wise, course-wise and category-wise cut-off ranks associated with the mock allotment.

These cut-offs can help candidates understand how their preferences compare with the indicative allocation and decide whether they want to revise their option priorities.

However, the mock-round cut-offs should not be treated as the final admission cut-offs because the actual allotment can change after candidates modify their options.
